First Gluten-free cooking school organized by Abeona

From 28 Feb to 02 March, Company Abeona organized its first independent project, Gluten-free cooking school, first such education in Croatia. The school took place in hotel Adriatic, in beautiful town Rovinj, situated on the west coast of Istrian peninsula.
It was a hands-on 9-hours cooking course where participants were actively involved in cooking and baking. On the repertoire, there were elegant lemon cookies, sweet carrot cakes and schwarzwald cupcakes, traditional Istrian pasta such is eggless gnocchi and “pljukanci”, potato focaccia with Mediterranean herbs, buckwheat, millet and rice bread. And more than that.
Theory lesson also took place on the first day and it involved presentation on basic techniques in gluten-free cooking, types of flours and basic rules of decontamination of kitchen space.
